Jimmy Salinas:
So I been writing these stories for money and since they’re all real dirty and real violent I decided to use a pen name. That way nobody’d know it was me.
What I came up with was “Jimmy Basura.” It had a certain ring to it.
But then Jimmy Basura started coming up with these other characters who wanted to write and draw and record things, make movies and so on. So this alter-ego of mine developed eight alter-egos of his own.
Trouble was, each alter-ego then created a sub-alter-ego (or two, or three) so that they could also do secret things. And then everything really got out of control when each of those subs’ imaginary friends and evil twins started showing up.
Now there’re more of these quixotic locos running around than I can count. It makes my head spin. Everybody’s running around in some disguise or another, people steal each other’s identities, get mixed up for one another.
Makes me feel like I just want to burn it all down.
